Program Development Assistance and Training Resources

PDAT Resources

Serve Wisconsin receives on an annual basis a federal grant called Program Development Assistance and Training (PDAT). PDAT funds are available, primarily, to enhance the effectiveness of AmeriCorps programs and program staff.  Serve Wisconsin uses PDAT funds in a variety of ways, including holding peer exchange meetings with AmeriCorps Program Directors and sponsoring two annual statewide AmeriCorps member events.

PDAT funds are also available to assist in addressing cross-stream training needs. Our PDAT plan makes an effort to complement the training initiatives of our state partners, the Corporation for National and Community Service State Office and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, who administer AmeriCorps*VISTA and the National Senior Service Corps and Learn and Serve America, respectively.  Past efforts include sponsorship of an annual statewide National and Community Service Conference, co-sponsorship of the Wisconsin Volunteer Coordinators Association annual conference, and co-sponsorship of regional service-learning workshops.
